ICSE/CBSE Further reduction? NTSE dates announced Latest updates

We have seen a couple of syllabus reductions from the 2 major councils of India, CBSE and CICSE. However there are some more things that are being considered by the boards during these times of crisis. Read on to find more:

It has been observed by the councils, that after the 30 % syllabus reduction, many schools are still not able to pace the syllabus timely. A lot of areas and small towns also don't have proper access to internet facilities which is making it difficult for them to make up with online format of education.

An CISCE official said that the council can consider 2 possibilities. Either to make a further reduction in the syllabus or to postpone the boards examinations to somewhere in April-May. One of these possibilities can be considered and implemented by the council in the upcoming days.

The CBSE on the other hand has released its sample papers for the 2021 examinations and therefore there's a less chance for further syllabus reduction. The NCERT also released the dates for the NTSE stage-1 examinations as 13 december 2020, almost a month and a half of delay from the usual.
